My dear president Muhammadu Buhari GCFR / Yemi Osinbanjo GCON

My name is Bassey Nton Nton, from Etanawana village Nde ward, Ikom Local Government Area of Cross River State, I am also devotee of Sat Guru Maharaj Ji. I am a level two student of the Faculty of Engineering, department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, University of Uyo, Uyo. Akwa Ibom State. I am a unionist, I have served in different offices in student organizations and Youths platform, I am a member of Ikom Local Government Area Student Association Worldwide (NAIS), and I am a member of National Youth Assembly of Nigeria (NYAN) also a member of Youth for Efficient Leadership (YEL) and Nigeria Students and Youths Association (NISAYA) to mention but few.

I am writing in regards to the state of the Nation (Nigeria), in which I join fellow Nigerians to inform you that, we Nigerians need help and attention.

I wish to say a big thank you for your kind leadership in moving Nigeria forward, for instance, ”the GDP grew from 1.91%  in 2018 to 2.27% in 2019″ also the “high-quality fertilizers to our farmers”, promoting “Grow What We Eat and “Eat What We Grow’’, also initiating N-Power program including SMEs to mention but few, notably singing of the NOT TOO YOUNG TO RULE BILL and other bills that as well add value to Nigerians, I once again say thank you for the job well done and humbly ask you to do more.

I humbly write to express the setbacks in addressing crucial problems in Nigeria under your administration. I join many other Nigerians to say that no political party have the solutions to Nigeria problem, but as a leader I pray personally that God should equip you with wisdom good health and grace to better Nigeria.

My family and I, and Nigerians in general are suffering from endemic, government corruption and mismanagement which in turn denies Nigerians good social and economic, security, health and also education. Also Nigerians are facing communal crisis and ethnic crisis, insurgency from Boko-Haram, famers/cattle rustler clash which have led to the death of hundreds and thousands of Nigerians.

I know that Nigeria problems are deeply rooted and have been inherited from previous administrations. That is why Mastery Hub (I) humbly suggest and asking that meaningful steps should be adopted in efforts to address Nigeria (Nigerians) problems like, poor infrastructures, Violence in the Niger Delta / North East, Religions and Ethnic crisis, Corruption, Election malpractice, inter-communal violence, poor Electricity, poor educational and sporting system as well as high cost of petroleum products, and how to achieve peace, unity and equality, which were your campaign watch words in 2015, in which I humbly draw your attention to through this medium.

In regards to the Nigeria problems listed above, I am of the opinion that, you can address the deeply rooted and devastating corruption in Nigeria. Let EFCC do their job and should not be socially and politically motivated by many. Let the Freedom of Information Bill, be enhance and encourage. Let the initiative of wisely blowers be more encouraged.

In regards to corruption. Let all local government chairmen, all state Governors including Commissioners and Ministers, Senators and Representatives members should always hold open talks publish account of evidence on how allocations budget are used, to avoid or reduce constituency abandonments of projects that are littered all through the country.

In regards to poor infrastructures, Nigeria Government should always monitor contractors who are been awarded with contracts to avoid abandonment of project that would impact positively to Nigerians, while the legislative arm of Nigeria government should help out in their part, Nigerians are begging for infrastructural development in available schools, more equipped hospitals, good roads networks, like the road linking Calabar-Odupani and Uyo Akwa Ibom state needs urgent maintenance, this road in particular is extremely bad taking 4 to 5 hours to travel between Cross River Calabar and Uyo Akwa Ibom, this road introduce economic hardship.

In regards to regional problems, I think, equity and respect for regions should be encourage. Finance that are generated from each regions should in high percentage, be used to develop the same region to build infrastructures that will reduce unemployment, to reduce various agitations. The south – south are suffering in respect to this.

In regards to poor Electricity, Nigeria have all it takes to generate sufficient Electrical power supply to Nigeria, let Nigerian expertise be engaged. Geo-thermal energy should be encourage, green energy should be encourage as well, mini Dams should be built to generate electricity, to enable dip rural area to feel the impact of government, like Agbokim water fall in Ikom Cross River State is wasting.

In respect to education, we have unemployment, let Nigerians be employed in primary, secondary schools, for tertiary institutions, ASUU and ASUP including other educational bodies should be strictly and properly manage. However, I suggest this body (ASUU) should be headed by the minister of education, to enable Nigeria Students have free flow of academic sections, scholarship should be awarded to Nigeria Students, making school fees to be very affordable in all tertiary institutions would be the best for now. Leaders of Students Unions bodies should be carried along by Minister of Education.

Petroleum (Petroleum products): Nigerians including my humble self, wonder why Nigeria produces crude oil but imports petroleum products, let our refineries be fixed up in good functioning standard, in order to increase employment and reduce cost and price of fuel and availability of petroleum product would be in excess, with is, no need for subsidy.

In the area of economy, Federal Government of Nigeria, alongside with all States Government including Local Government should as a matter of urgency focus on diversifying the economy, Nigeria has large expanse of agricultural land. The only way out for Nigeria bad economy is promoting SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, and INNOVATION as well as AGRICULTURE. Promoting, making this sectors attractive, and introducing science, technology, innovation and agriculture grants. This would help in drawing the attention of teeming unemployed youths. While for those Nigerians that would present proposals for sponsorship on the course of science, technology, innovation and agriculture should be sponsored. Agriculture inventions should be attended to, encouraging science, technology, innovation and agriculture ideas and proposed inventions should be promoted by Nigeria Government. Mechanize farming should be encourage as Nigeria have 77.7% of total land mass and equivalent to 910.8 thousand square kilometers, and 37.3% is arable.

In the aspect of security, I am of the opinion that let more of Nigerians be employ into the military. And paramilitary and vigilante should be recognize by the government and little should be paid to enable them assist the police, army, air force and navy. We should encourage locally made military weapons, for during Nigeria civil war militaries weapons where manufactured in Nigeria. To reduce spending of importing weapons from western world increasing their economy.

In the oneness of Nigeria, equity and respect for one another is the best regardless the differences that exit. Equity in employment of military personnel, Government appointments, projects allocation, and employment of federal, state and local government civil savants be equal, etc. Nigeria football league should be encourage, stadiums should be made to standard to encourage inter-state sporting, inter local government football activities to increase unity and generate revenue.

Your Excellences, Muhammadu Buhari GCFR and Yemi Osinbanjo GCON. Nigerians have serious hope in you in effecting change that will better Nigeria, Nigerians are begging and want to be fine.

Your administration should do more both to tackle the impunity and Nigeria problems been spell out in this open letter, and to address their root causes as well as implement my (Mastery Hub) humble suggestions. As a Nigerian that have no other place to go to, I  stand with many willing Nigerians ready to assist you directly and indirectly in this urgent effort, and remain a supporter of your government policies I pledge.

If Nigeria problem is spiritually motivated, then we should all look inward, let leave our colonialist and solve our problems as Africans and unique entity, I sincerely believe and optimistic that Nigeria will be greater, find and conducive, greater than ever imagine.
