(L-R) Minister of Information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, SSA to the President, Alhaji Garba Shehu, DG Radio Nigeria, Dr Mansur Liman,

Considering that all men are created out of one source the creator, due to circumstances we are all disable in one way or the other.

The Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FRCN, is held its yearly lecture on Thursday in regards to disability.

This year theme of the lecture, held at the Shehu Yar’Adua Centre, Central Business District, Abuja, was “The Imperative of Disability Inclusion in National Transformation”.

Sen. Abubakar Atiku Abubakar, Governor of Kebbi State, chair the event, while Professor Vincent Anibgogo, the Director-General of the Institute of National Transformation, Abuja, was the guest speaker.

Leader and founder Albino Foundation,  Mr Jake Epelle,  partnered with Radio Nigeria to host the 2021 annual lecture. He spoke on the need to make public buildings accessible to people with disabilities.

Established in 2006, The Albino Foundation caters for people with albinism and other vulnerable groups such as persons with disabilities.

It envisions an inclusive society for all, according to the founder, Mr Jake Epelle.

The FRCN annual lecture series started in 2007 as the FRCN October Lecture as a birth gift to the country in the month of independence to address prevalent national issues.

The program is made to stimulate public understanding and to contribute to the national discourse on topical and contemporary issues. Which need to be resolved for better society.

The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed said the FRCN Annual Lecture has over the years been an avenue for the Corporation to live up to its mantra of “Uplifting the people and uniting the nation” not only through its programming, but also through social responsibility, through informative and educative programs.

This year’s Lecture, he said, was different from the political, social and economic themes that have been explored in the past, saying there was no denying the fact that nation-building and transformation would continue to be a mirage without carrying along all segments of the society.

Every human have some disability in one way or the other, therefore they is need for supporting one another.
